Meet our new hosts: Sibylle and Joshi Becker-Szvoboda. Sibylle and Joshi Szvoboda have been married for over 30 years, and have ten children (seven boys and three girls). The Szvoboda-Becker home was always buzzing with energy. Despite having ten kids of their own, they were never shy to invite more guests. Joshi and Sibylle have always had a passion for hosting people.
Before entering the hotel business, Sibylle and Joshi owned and ran a toner cartridge recycling business for over 30 years. The company took them and their family all over the world. They've lived in Switzerland, Hungary, England, and Vietnam. And after 14 years of being away, they found a new home in the Grison Alps of Switzerland, where they started working in the hotel industry.
It was in 2018 when, for the first time, they were able to be hosts in the Erleabacherhus, Valbella. Most of their kids had already moved out at that point, so it felt natural to have their house welcome groups of 50+, and sometimes 100+, kids.
Three years later, after making many changes to the Erlebacherhus, they felt like it was time to take up another challenge. It had always been a dream of Sibylle's to help people heal in a more relaxing environment and in a more natural way. The Lindenhof Churwalden had formerly been a retirement home and was perfectly equipped to provide that kind of setting. The house was bought, and Sibylle and Joshi were put in as the hosts.
Lindenhof Churwalden started welcoming its first guests in early November of 2021.
